Overview
You will closely with application teams to ensure stable, well monitored applications that are resilient to faults. You will agree and periodically review Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to achieve the correct level of availability for the applications based on their criticality. You will maintain Error Budgets for the application teams in your area and preventing releases in the event the production stability and availability for applications is too low
You will have knowledge of and experience in relevant tools used in the SRE environment and be a specialist in one or more technical domains to ensure that all associated stakeholders are provided with an optimum level of service in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) / Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).

• Monitoring and alerting across a clearly defined set of Corporate & Investment Banking applications, providing optimum service level to the Business
• Work closely with application teams to build monitoring solutions to alert in the event of failures/performance issues and to optimise uptime
• Provide feedback loops to continually improve application resilience across multiple application teams
• Agree, review and change SLAs, SLOs and Error Budgets where necessary to ensure suitable availability for end users and to achieve appropriate levels of application stability
• Identify and eliminate or automate toil for both the application teams and the SRE team to optimise effectiveness
• Manage resolution of outages with both technical and business teams to the point where actions are taken to reduce the likelihood of the failure happening in future Skills You'll Need
• Bachelor Degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Computer Science or IT-related discipline OR Moderate experience in Information Technology (IT) in large corporate environments, specifically in the area of controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function
• Demonstrable Site Reliability Engineering experience ideally Moderate
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience in Prometheus/Grafana monitoring stack
• Working experience in mid-range technologies, platforms, i.e. UNIX and ORACLE database experience required. Working experience of Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, Web logic also desirable Skills That Will Help You Excel
• Scripting skills (Groovy, shell etc)
• Container orchestration tools such as Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc
• CI/CD Tooling e.g Jenkins
• Proficiency in a high-level programming language Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
